Air conditioning kits were fitted into a small and very exclusive minority of UK cars as early as the mid 1970's. When Autoclimate entered the market, activities were primarily focused towards 'retro-fit' (fitting air conditioning to cars after they have left the factory).

Currently, the company is involved in activities spanning the whole of this market. These include transport refrigeration, component supply and manufacture, equipment provision, after-sales and technical support, marketing support and technical training, to name just some.
